Dancing on the Bosporus

Seminar starts this year as usual in Istanbul. The first five days we have dance classie in the morning and excursions in the afternoon to different cultural places such as the Blue- and Süleymaniye Mosque, the Turkish Islamic Art Museum, the Grand and Egyptian Bazaar, the Fener Patriarchate, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. One of the excursions is a guided walking tour along the Golden Horn and we will end up at the famous Pierre Loti Café. We will be enjoying a boat tour and have dinner along the Bosphorus. The dance workshops will be lead by Ahmet and Turgay, as well as by the professional teachers and musicians from the Dance Department of Technical University.

The 1st of May we leave Istanbul and go to the thermal city of Yalova. We visit a thermal bath where we will have time to swim. The next 2 days we stay in Bursa, the old capital city of the Ottoman Empire. We got to the Ulu Mosque, the Green Tomb, the Tomb of Osman Gazi (the founder of the Ottoman Empire). Esat Uluumay Ottoman Folk Costume and Jewellery Museum and the ethographic Cumalizizik village.

In a cultural village hall in Bursa we have our evening meal and a special spoon dance workhsop from local teachers. At the end of the seminar the music and the video ot the dance program will be available.

Price: € 1095,- including: 9 nights (double room occupation) in a hotel, 9 brakfasts, 8 dinners, dance classes, all transports within Turkey, excursions and visits to museums, village and spa.
